You are here: Speed-e-faq

We use Sage line 50 for our purchase ledger. We export sales data into a csv file and import into Sage to enable us to print P&L accounts. I have never liked Sage and would love to find something easier. Can your program import csv files like this?

Yes. Speed-e-books is designed exactly for this sort of purpose in mind. Open the .csv file into a blank Excel worksheet (File, Open, All Files) to present the .csv data into Excel form. Sort and adjust the data as you want it, then Copy and *Paste required info into Speed-e-books where you want your data to be. Then simply Code the data and your P&L will appear in Report 1 (Summary) and Report 2 (Detailed).

Tip: Ensure you use Copy and *Paste Values to avoid copying cell formats over.
